Adipat Virdi presents
(IMMERSIVE EXPERIENCE DESIGN)
Adipat Virdi Presents is Adipat’s creative production label for building immersive, audience-as-protagonist experiences that don’t just entertain but deliberately reshape how people see, judge, and understand one another. Adipat creates playable theatre and storyworld installations where audiences move from spectator to witness, investigator and often decision-maker because the most powerful stories aren’t the ones you watch… they’re the ones you’re forced to navigate from the inside. The focus is on translating evolving media consumption behaviour to create more empathy-led audience engagement frameworks that can apply across sectors all the way from brands to museums to social impact theatre.
What Adipat makes
Immersive Theatre (Playable Drama)
Intimate, high-stakes drama designed as an experience system, where the audience’s choices, attention and interpretation actively shape the meaning of what happened. (Different room, different people, different outcome.)
Walkthrough / Installation Worlds
Fractured memory-spaces, artefacts, video, interactive reflection and participatory structures that let visitors assemble truth for themselves and confront what their own assumptions do to that truth.
Social-impact experiences with real ethical weight
These works are built for institutions and public audiences who want more than “awareness.” The craft is in designing an encounter that leaves people changed and not comforted.
Flagship work: I Am, Other (and the wider storyworld)
I Am, Other (immersive family drama)
A participatory family drama that investigates white privilege, judgement, identity and bias, inviting the audience into gamified scenes and guided reflection and then replaying the inciting incident to test whether the audience’s viewpoint has shifted.
External coverage / context
- University of Kent feature on the production and its “playable theatre” approach
- No Proscenium write-up (immersive industry coverage)
- BBC Radio Kent interview
- Metropolis Magazine feature on spatial storytelling
Devika’s Honour (Adipat Virdi Presents production)
A three-act immersive work that escalates from performed drama into a journey through memory-spaces, culminating in the audience becoming the jury that decides guilt inside the ecology of the experience, while confronting the assumptions that shape “truth.”

Expansion into exhibition + district-wide engagement
The wider I Am, Other ecosystem has also developed into exhibition forms using artefacts, installations, reflections and headset (360 film) experiences designed to surface systemic bias through participation, not observation.
Why this work is different
Most immersive work optimises for spectacle and novelty. Adipat Virdi Presents is built around a different priority:
- Narrative as a behavioural system (not just a plot)
- Audience interpretation as the engine
- Ethical friction being the moment you realise you are in the story and you’re implicated in what you’re judging
Who this is for
Adipat collaborates with:
- Theatres / festivals commissioning boundary-pushing immersive work
- Universities & cultural institutions exploring race, bias, belonging, and civic dialogue through participation
- Brands / organisations who want experience-led transformation rooted in human behaviour (not hype)
Credibility and cross-sector track record
Alongside Adipat’s artistic work, he has led immersive strategy and experience design at the intersection of XR, AI, and storytelling, including senior leadership in XR.
